Demo data & reports
You can use this demo without an account. All orders and merchants are synthetic; no real customer or ToadEx records are used. The demo accepts only predefined scenarios, with no uploads, custom SQL, or connections to your database.
“Run on D1” sends the selected scenario to the server and runs fixed, read-only queries. The application does not save your run report to D1. Reports contain synthetic query results, database measurements, and a timestamp. “Export JSON” creates a download in your browser; recorded examples are previously captured reports served with the site.
Cookies & tracking
The demo’s application code does not set cookies or use local storage or session storage. There are no advertising trackers or analytics scripts in the page. Fonts are served with the site. The selected scenario appears in the page URL and may remain in your browser history.
Cloudflare may use necessary security technologies when delivering the site.
Hosting & technical information
Cloudflare hosts the site and runs its Worker and D1 database. It may process technical information such as your IP address and request data to deliver and protect these services. The demo uses a shared request limit to manage usage.

An experiment, with limits
This is an educational prototype with three fixed scenarios. Measurements describe this synthetic workload; they do not establish production performance or actual cost savings. Correctness checks apply to the tested data and queries.
The row-read budget is checked after queries execute. It is not a billing cap or a guarantee that database work will be prevented. Live results and availability may vary. Evaluate the code and results for your own use before relying on them.

D1 Query Budget is an independent project by Bhavya Kumar. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Cloudflare. Cloudflare names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
The project’s source code is available under the MIT License, including its warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability. Bundled fonts have their own licenses, included in the source repository.

Linked sites, including GitHub and the personal portfolio, have their own data practices. If you email me, I receive your email address and the information you include so I can respond; email providers also handle the message.
